Hedge Fund Technology veteran will spearhead operations in New York, Connecticut and New Jersey.
NEW YORK – October 1, 2008 – Chelsea Technologies, an industry leader in IT services and network integration for investment firms, today announced the promotion of Kirk Johnson as Director of Northeast Operations. Kirk will lead Chelsea’s operative efforts in New York, Connecticut, and New Jersey to further enhance the company’s offerings to clients and prospective clients through his extensive industry experience and knowledge.
Kirk has over ten years of experience in Information Technology, including the last seven years in the Hedge Fund industry. His initial exposure in the Hedge Fund industry was as a network engineer for a Hedge Fund integration firm in NYC from 2001-2004, where he worked on several large projects including new implementations, relocations and disaster recovery services. In 2004, he was hired as Vice President of Operations at Stadia Capital, where he managed the entire technology infrastructure, was responsible for their office relocation, designed and maintained their BCP and Disaster Recovery Site and maintained all vendor relations.
In his prior role with Chelsea, Kirk served as the Client Services Director, where he managed all client relationships, project management and quality control.
Kirk has a Bachelor of Science degree from Keene State College and is based in Chelsea’s New York City office.
